Solar & Heat Pumps for New Builds
Renewable Energy Systems for New Builds and Bespoke Projects
Over the years, small developments and bespoke projects have continued to lead the way in adopting innovative renewable technologies. In many cases, these builds aim to stand out from standard housing developments. As a result, they often feature higher quality construction, superior insulation, and, in many cases, renewable energy systems required by planning conditions.
Consequently, these homes are perfectly suited for low-carbon technologies like heat pumps, solar panels, and mechanical ventilation systems.
At Swift Renewables, we bring the experience and expertise to deliver tailored energy solutions for new builds and custom projects. Whether you’re planning a small extension or a large-scale new home, we can help.
In fact, we offer an all-in-one package that covers every essential system. This includes:

Benefits of Choosing Swift for Heating and Renewables
Many of our bespoke and new build projects benefit from having Swift as the sole contractor. We manage all heating and renewable energy systems from start to finish.
By acting as the only point of contact, we simplify communication. This helps project managers meet deadlines and stay on budget. It also ensures a high-quality result.
Handling the full process—design, installation, and commissioning—gives us full control. This means every part of your system works together smoothly.
Our approach delivers better efficiency, fewer delays, and lower costs. It also ensures your solar and heat pumps for new builds perform reliably from day one.
Our process
Consult
From your initial enquiry, we begin with a consultation or site survey to fully understand your goals and energy needs. During this step, we assess your property and discuss how our services can best help you. Next, we prepare a tailored proposal based on your specific requirements. This includes a detailed system design, outlining how your system will perform. Additionally, we provide a clear breakdown of expected energy output, estimated savings on your electricity bills, and your potential carbon footprint reduction. With every step, we aim to ensure you’re informed and confident about investing in a renewable energy system that’s efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.
Applications
If you decide to move forward with your installation, we handle everything from that point on. First, we take care of all the necessary admin work, including submitting applications to the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) and Ofgem to begin an application for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme if required. At the same time, we complete any additional system design work required to finalise your setup. Once all approvals are in place, we schedule the installation and begin the order process. This ensures a smooth, safe, and efficient installation process from start to finish.
Install
Installation timelines can vary depending on the size and complexity of your project. For example, standard installations may only take a few days, while larger projects or new builds and self-builds can take several weeks to complete. During this period, our team won’t always be on site, as we’ll often be preparing equipment and materials off-site for the next phase of your installation. However, we remain in close contact throughout to ensure everything stays on track. To help your project run as smoothly as possible, we kindly ask for plenty of notice regarding your lead times. This allows us to plan effectively, avoid delays, and keep your solar and heat pump installation moving forward without disruption.
Handover
Once we complete your installation, we move on to testing and commissioning the system to ensure everything operates efficiently and safely. After that, we provide you with a detailed handover pack. This includes full system specifications, manufacturer instructions, and your official MCS certificate for added peace of mind. Additionally, we notify the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) to confirm that your system has been successfully commissioned. This step ensures full regulatory compliance. To further support you, we include a post-installation monitoring package. This allows us to track your system remotely, monitor its performance, and respond quickly to any errors or faults. As a result, you benefit from a reliable and well-supported solar or heat pump system long after the installation is complete.
