Introducing The Swift Umbrella Scheme, Run by Installers, for Installers
With the government’s target of installing 600,000 heat pumps a year by 2028 it is apparent there is not only a shortage of MCS registered installers in the industry but also a skills and knowledge shortage when it comes to installing heat pumps. We’re here to offer a service enabling installers access to the best system designs, products and ensuring their installations meet MCS standards whilst also giving their customers access to government funding such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
How it works
We want to take the admin and hassle out of installing heat pumps, allowing installers to get on with what they’re best at, installations! Our Umbrella scheme works as follows;
Initial quotation
Our team are on hand to help you put together a competitive and comprehensive quotation for your customers. We can advice on heat pump size, manufacturer and necessary upgrades to the heating system. We can then put a quotation together for the customer.
Order placement
If the customer is happy then the order is placed with us and the work scheduled in, as the installation will be completed by you installations can work around your schedule
System design
Our team of designers will put together a package, completing heat loss calculations, emitter design, hot water design, piping and wiring schematics as well as applications for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and DNO notification
Pre-Installation survey
A pre installation survey is arranged to determine the location of equipment, site requirements and anything that needs confirming before installation
Installation
The installation takes place, you will work from our designs and install at your own pace. You’ll receive all required equipment to complete the project including the heat pump, cylinder, buffer / volumiser, radiators as well as system filter and de-aerator. You’ll just need to supply pipe and fittings!
Commissioning
One of expert engineers will attend site to assist with commissioning, take you through the steps and get the system up and running as it should be. They can then help handover the system to the customer, walking you through the various elements of the system
Handover and Certification
Once complete we send out a comprehensive handover pack including;
- Heat loss calculations and performance estimates
- Schematics and emitter sizing
- MCS certificate
- Workmanship warranty
- Building regulations certificate
- DNO notification
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme voucher is then redeemed and you can move on to the next project!
